The objective of the prospective LCI database working group is to improve the quality, transparency and reusability of prospective LCI databases through a community based approach. The working group has a theoretical and a technical pillar. Our theoretical work relates, for example, to questions regarding scenario definition and narrative consistency, while the technical work addresses challenges of prospective databases generation, metadata, and other artifacts necessary to do prospective LCA, especially when using the Brightway LCA framework. We organize quarterly online meetings in which members and guest speakers are offered the opportunity to present their work and progress towards the main objective of the working group is discussed.
